The November 8, 2018 Business After Hours at Viya was a huge success. With a high attendance, fantastic food, great music and lots of networking, the evening culminated in the introduction of Viya’s first female CEO, Geraldine Pitt, and the presentation of a large donation check to non-profit Chamber Member, The United Way of the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Despite the rainy weather, the Viya Customer Experience Center was opened up to Chamber members and their guests, as well as local Viya employees. The main lobby was decked out in the Viya brand colors with balloons, beautifully adorned tables and floral center pieces. Guests also enjoyed a photobooth with the Viya festival personality. The generous hors d’oeuvres spread was catered by Bluewater Terrace with Tropic Bass entertaining the crowd.
Chamber events are a volunteer effort. Board members Kirk Thompson, Ryan Nelthropp (pictured below) & Neil Canton tended bar while board members and volunteers greeted guests, sold raffle tickets and coordinate the event. Interested in volunteering for the next Chamber event? Email us!
