A year after St Croix was affected by Hurricane Maria, things are getting back to normal on the big island. Divi Carina Bay Casino reopened it’s doors with a St Croix Chamber of Commerce Ribbon cutting at noon on Wednesday September 12th. Festivities continued through the day and into the evening with live entertainment by St Croix Quelbe icons Stanley & the Ten Sleepless Knights followed by DJ Rebel entertaining gamers past midnite.
“We’re very excited to welcome everyone back to Carina Bay, both our guests and staff,” said Anton Kuipers, General Manager. “Many of our crewmembers have returned and are eager to get back to doing what we do best – making sure people have a good time.”
The ribbon cutting was attended by General Manager Anton Kuipers, Governor Kenneth Mapp, Board Chair Diane Butler and Board members Gechani Martinez, Anastasia Rivers and Patricia Worede.
