As 2019 approaches, the U.S. Small Business Administration would like to remind you of an opportunity to recognize a Virgin Islands small business owner or community leader by nominating them for one of SBA’s national awards. SBA will recognize national award winners during National Small Business Week scheduled for May 5-11, 2019.
While SBA recognizes businesses and individuals in multiple categories, the ones listed below are especially applicable to the Virgin Islands community this year. Each link takes you directly to the nomination form for that particular award. Scroll to the bottom for a link which provides the selection criteria for each award.
Nomination Form for Small Business Person of the Year
(Must have received a type of SBA assistance such as, but not limited to an SBA loan, Small Business Development Center assistance, Emerging Leaders Initiative, government contracting assistance, disaster assistance or Boots to Business training)
Nomination Form for Phoenix Award for Small Business Disaster Recovery
(Must have received an SBA physical Disaster Loan)
